My

they are key elements for success. My working hard at school and participation
in various extra curriculum has given me challenges in life to work extra hard
to reach higher heights. My ambitions has been to became a Mechanic with most of
my inspiration coming from my father who is a mechanic and his higher levels in
engineering arte mine to challenge.
In
2005 to 2006 I served, as an Assistant mechanic in the workshop at Munkutanga
Motors, were I was recommended to be hardworking, friendly and keen to learn

and four brothers. In my leisure time I enjoy playing football and going to the

I am the eighth born in the family of
eleven children, of which two passed away. Amongst the nine children still
alive, five are ladies and four are men. A brother, sister and myself still live
with our parents. Both my young brother and a sister are still in grade eleven
in different schools.
I
was born in 1986 in Ndola Central Hospital. I have been raised in a family of
Jehovah’s Witnesses, in exception of my father and two of my elder brothers. I
started grade one in 1993 at Ndola Old Main School were I did grade one to
three. As I was a problem at school, Dad transferred me to Kanini Basic School
were he heard of a very tough teacher. This teacher managed to transform me into
a good pupil. I started attending Christian meetings, which helped me to change
my life. I left Ndola to go to Chipepo Secondary. I was sickly most of the time
as school was so remote and far from health centres, Dad transferred me to Monze,
as he was a Doctor. So I completed my junior grade there.
I
was born in family of two (2) girls and four (4); and I am second, born on 29th
May 1984. My parents were both Bembas from Northern Province of Zambia. My
father used to work for the Mines at Ndola Copper Refinery while, my mother was
a good housewife. I did my primary school level at Chilengwa Basic School form

of 9 months, before joining Keren Motors a transporting and engineering company.
I worked as an Assistant in Mechanical fitting. I now am studying at Mechanics
for Africa Zambia as a first year student.
Life
is hard being a double orphan and access to education in not what you think if
you have never experienced it. My life was near to an end when I lost my
parents, leaving us entirely on our own. Things began to be hard on us; we had
to face a lot of challenges. Now because of courage, great determination to be
educated, I see hope for my future as this will soon be over. There are times
when I almost indulged myself in evil vices such as smoking, begging in the
street, sniffing petrol and glue. When the parents were alive we got care and
support from them.
I
took courage to invest in education for the future, when the harvest will be
big. At times we slept on empty stomach, at times failed to raise funds for
school fees, but I never quitted school. I have come to find the power of living
on hope. The biggest room in this World is room for improvement and I feel that
only those who go the distance have managed to find where they are or belong.
I
am a good oriented person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
ability to learn and work effectively and also a self-motivated and of sober
character. I enjoy playing football, reading books listening to the radio and
making friends.

was going through at that time.
I
went back to Luanshya to raise the finances, in the same year I got involved in
road accident was I was doing my piecework and broke my femur. I did reapply
again and I was selected, currently I’m doing first studies in mechanics. My
God has seen me through in all life situations; I believe he will see me
through.
